It appears that the staph infection is finally gone!  It sure was a hard one to kill and even though I hated taking all those antibiotics, I know it was needed.

Glad that's gone. Was that counted as mastitis or is that a separate infection? I've been breastfeeding baby 1 for over a year now and had a bit of mild mastitis but no more. Check out my post on why midwives recommend cabbage leaves (the science) and also my most recent posts on hyperemesis gravidarum. You posted about what worked for you but it isn't available in the UK, although I have seen make your own recipes on the web.

Glad you are better. Is Staph a mastitis infection? You posted on hg treatment on my blog, do read my recent research. I also have a post about why midwives and doxs suggest cabbage leaves for mastitis - I researched it.

My mastitis was caused by a staph infection verses a plugged duct, etc. The antibiotics were not killing it all the way so it was laying dormit and then striking harder each time. The last time it came on we were able to get the abx the fastest and it was finally killed. For a while my doc thought it was MRSA. She doesn't know for sure if it was or wasn't.....we are both glad it is gone.
I've used cabbage leaves twice for engouragment, but sadly it didn't work for me :(

I'll check out your blog to see what you researched!
